JUSTICE SANJAY PARIHAR, JUDGE ORDER 11.08.2025 This is an application seeking leave to file acquittal appeal against the judgment dated 28.11.2022 passed by the Court of Presiding Officer Fast Track Court, Jammu {“Trial Court”} in case titled “State (Now U.T) of J&K V/s Major Singh Manhas”, whereby the trial Court has acquitted the respondent of the charge under Sections 376/342/511 RPC. We have gone through the judgment impugned and are of the view that the appeal deserves to be admitted and considered on merits in view of the statement of the prosecutrix recorded by the trial Court. The application is, thus, allowed and leave to file appeal is granted. Registry is directed to diarize the appeal and list for consideration on 27.08.2025.
