ORDER: This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., seeking to quash the proceedings against the petitioner/accused in Crime No.19 of 2020 on the file of Gajuwaka Police Station, Visakhapatnam City for the offence punishable under Section 448, 420, 406, 418 IPC.
2. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor produced a copy of instructions dated 20.01.2025 furnished by the Inspector of Police, Gajuwaka Police Station, Vishakapatnam City, wherein it is stated that during the course of investigation, the Investigating Officer secured the presence of witnesses, examined them and got recorded their detailed statements in case diary part II as L.Ws1 to 11 and served notice under Section 41-A Cr.P.C to the accused i.e., the petitioner herein on 14.08.2021 and the Charge-sheet is yet to be filed before the Court.
3. In view of the above instructions, in spite of keeping this petition pending, as the investigation has been completed and the Charge-sheet is yet to be filed before the appropriate Court, this Court feels it appropriate to dispose of the petition directing the respondents to take steps to file the charge-sheet as expeditiously as possible within period of three months from the date of the receipt of the copy of this Order. Till such time, the

respondents are directed not to take any coercive steps. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file fresh petition challenging the charge-sheet.
As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in this petition, shall stand closed.
