ORAL ORDER
Learned counsel for petitioner and learned counsel for respondent have filed joint application under Section 147 of the N.I.Act read with Section 320 (6) and (8) of Cr.P.C. and Section 359 (6) and (8) of BNSS, 2023. The said application is jointly signed by the counsel for the petitioner and counsel for the respondent.
2. As per the averments contained in the said application the matter is settled for Rs.2,00,000/-. The petitioner – accused has deposited Rs.1,37,500/- (Rupees one lakh thirty seven thousand five hundred) before the trial Court. Petitioner – accused is paying today Rs.62,500/- (Rupees sixty two thousand five hundred) to the respondent by way of cash. Counsel for the

respondent submits that he has received Rs.62,500/- in cash from the counsel for the petitioner. He further submits that he has instructions from the respondent – complainant to receive the said amount and report settlement.
3. In view of the settlement, the offence under Section 138 of the N.I.Act is compounded. Accordingly, this revision petition is disposed of as the offence under Section 138 of the N.I.Act is compounded. Respondent – complainant is entitled to withdraw Rs.1,37,500/- deposited by the petitioner – accused before the trial Court. The respondent – complainant shall furnish his bank account details so as to enable the trial Court to transfer the amount in deposit directly to the account of the complainant.
