The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Dhurwa (Tupudana) P.S. Case No. 116 of 2024, corresponding to NDPS Case No.54 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 15 (C), 18 (C), 22 & 25 of NDPS Act, pending in the court of learned Special Judge (N.D.P.S.), Ranchi. On 24.03.2024, Dhurwa Police on the basis of confidential information raided the house of several accused persons, including the petitioner. On search, 6 kgs of poppy husk were recovered from the house of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of small quantity. Learned A.P.P on behalf of the State has opposed the prayer for bail but does not dispute the aforesaid fact. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge (N.D.P.S.), Ranchi, in connection with Dhurwa (Tupudana) P.S. Case No. 116 of 2024, corresponding to NDPS Case No.54 of 2024. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
