BEFORE HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH MAZUMDAR 26.11.2025 Heard Mr M Hussain, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Ms M Barman, learned Government Advocate, Assam, appearing for the respondent Nos. 4 and 5; Mr A Chaliha, learned Standing Counsel, Finance Department; appearing on behalf of the respondent No. 2; and Ms R H Choudhury, learned Standing Counsel, ASLSA, appearing on behalf of the respondent Nos. 1 and 3. 2. The claim here is that the petitioners had been awarded an amount Rs. 5 lacs as compensation, but the said amount has not been disbursed to the petitioners on the ground of lack of fund. 3. Today, the learned counsel for the petitioners has produced the order dated 24.11.2025, passed in WP(C) No. 6135/2025, where this Court had directed the respondent authorities to release and disburse the amount of the final compensation to the petitioner, within a period of 2 (two) months from the date of the order. 4. The learned counsels for the parties are in consonance that a similar order would suffice the requirements of this writ petition also. 5. Accordingly, it is directed that the respondent Nos.

On receipt of such proposal, the Finance Department would carry out the necessary formalities and ensure release of funds for disbursal to the petitioner, within a period of 6 (six) weeks thereafter. 6. The entire exercise is required to be completed within a period of 12 (weeks) from the date of this order. 7. Writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
