HIGH COURT OF UTTARAKHAND AT NAINITAL First Bail Application No. 298 of 2025 Jakir ….....Applicant Versus State of Uttarakhand ….….Respondent Present:- Mr. Gaurav Singh, Advocate for the applicant. Ms. Manisha Rana Singh, Deputy Advocate General for the State. Hon’ble Ravindra Maithani, J. (Oral) Applicant Jakir is in judicial custody in FIR/Case Crime No. 497 of 2024 dated 03.12.2024, under Section 8/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, P.S. Kotwali Ranipur, District Haridwar. He has sought his release on bail. 2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 3. According to the FIR, 3.036 kgs. Ganja was allegedly recovered from the possession of the co-accused on 03.12.2024. 4. It is argued that nothing was recovered from the applicant; the co-accused, from whose possession the alleged recovery was made, has already been granted bail; the applicant has been implicated on the statement of the co-accused. 5. These facts are not denied by the learned State Counsel. 6. Having considered, this Court is of the view that it is a case fit for bail and the applicant deserves to be enlarged on bail. 7. The bail application is allowed. 2 8. Let the applicant be released on bail, on his executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties, each of the like amount, to the satisfaction of the court concerned.
