The present petition has been filed seeking direction to the State to release the Grant-in-Aid to Old Age Home, Bhangrotu, District Mandi, H.P. and to further increase the salaries of employees of Old Age Home.
2. Vide order dated 28.11.2024, Mr. Vijay Chaudhary, Advocate, was appointed as Legal Aid Counsel and notice was issued by the Coordinate Bench to the respondents. A status report was filed and thereafter a detailed reply was submitted. Thereafter, on 05.06.2025, it was noticed that on 06.09.2012 (Annexure R-1), as per Clause 4(2) of the said notification, there is a provision of escalation of 10% after every three years in the amount of assistance being provided under various components of the Integrated Scheme for Older Persons.
4. Thereafter, it was noticed that a 40% escalation had been done as per the notification issued under Rule 4(2) of the State Scheme in the amount of assistance under grant-in-aid vide Sr. No.3 & 4 Appendix I & II (Running and maintenance of Old Age Home and Day Care Centres).
5. Legal Aid Counsel as such submits that in view of the proactive steps taken by the State, the matter can be given a closure.
6. Accordingly, the present petition is closed. Pending application(s), if any, stands disposed of.
