Baruah, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D. Upamanyu, learned Standing Counsel, Higher Education Department appearing for the said department. Having regard to the nature of grievance projected by the petitioner and the additional affidavit filed by the respondent No.2, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at this stage. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is working as the Supervisor Instructor in the Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat and his pay band has been wrongly fixed. According to him, he is entitled to a revised pay band of Rs.6600/- as per the Fitment Table-13 of Revision of Pay Rules, 2010 from his joining his service as Supervisor Instructor. By filing this writ petition, the petitioner therefore, prays that his pay be appropriately fixed and he be given all the arrear salaries w.e.f December, 2010. 3. The respondent No.2 has filed the additional affidavit on 23.10.2025, wherein at paragraph No.4, it has been specifically stated that the respondent authorities considered the claim of the petitioner and hearing was conducted on 14.10.2025. After hearing and examining all the relevant documents submitted by the petitioner as well as the respondent No.4, it was found that the petitioner is entitled to the benefit of revised pay band of Rs.6600/- as per Fitment Table-13 of the Revision of Pay Rules, 2010 since his joining the service as Supervisor Instructor. Page No.# 3/3 Accordingly, the petitioner is to be allowed to avail the aforesaid benefit after necessary correction as per the provision of the relevant Rules. 4. Considering the above development, it only appears that the grievance of the petitioner has been duly mitigated by the respondents. 5. In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to grant the petitioner the benefit as entitled to him as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6.
