JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 13.11.2025 [1] Heard Ms. Pamchui MK Shimray, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. for the State respondent. [2] By the present writ petition, the petitioner who is the son of the deceased Special Contractor praying for transferring the license of the deceased father to the partnership firm’s name. [3] In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 29.10.2025 to the Chief Engineer, Public Works Department, Government of Manipur and the representation is still pending. [4] It is submitted at the bar that the writ petition may be disposed of at this stage by directing the Chief Engineer, PWD, Government of Manipur to consider and pass a speaking order to the representation submitted by the petitioner within a stipulated time. [5] Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. for the State respondent, submits that this Court may dispose of the writ petition as prayed for by passing an innocuous order. [6] Recording the submissions made at the bar, writ petition is disposed of by directing the Chief Engineer, PWD, Government of Manipur to consider and pass a speaking order to the representation dated 29.10.2025 submitted by the petitioner for transferring the license in the name of deceased father to the firm within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
