JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN) We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondents No.1 to 3-State. 2. Though notice has been taken out to respondent No.4, there is no appearance on behalf of respondent No.4. It is submitted that respondent No.4 is in judicial custody pursuant to initiation of a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. 3. We have interacted with the alleged detenue, who was produced before us and she states that she wants to reside with her parents and is not under any illegal detention at present. The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenue is also present and we have interacted with her also. 4. In view of the fact that the detenue is now in the care and custody of the petitioner, who is her mother - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:23607-DB WPHC No. 51 of 2025 she submits that she is staying with her mother on her own free will and accord, the Writ Petition (Habeas Corpus) is closed recording that the detenue is in the company of her mother.
