This is an appeal under Section 415(2) BNSS, 2023 assailing the Page No.# 2/2 judgment dated 13.10.2025 and sentence order dated 21.10.2025 whereby the appellant is convicted and directed to undergo sentence 10 years of R.I. for the offence under Section 376/511 of the Indian Penal Code with a fine of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) and 3 years S.I. for the offence under Section 354A of the Indian Penal Code with a fine of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) to be paid to the State Exchequer through e-gras challan, in default, the convict shall serve another period of 6 months in custody and sentence shall run concurrently. Admit the appeal. Issue notice to the respondent No. 2 through the Registry in terms of prevailing notification issued by the Gauahati High Court. The learned counsel for the appellant to take steps for service of notice upon respondent No. 2 by speed post. Steps be taken within 3 days of passing of this order. Notice upon respondent No. 1 is dispensed with as the learned Addl. PP put her appearance in the matter.
