Order No. 16 / Dated : 22.07.2025.
The instant criminal revision has been preferred against the judgment of conviction and sentence passed under Section 494, 498A and 323 of Indian Penal Code in G.R. No. 1463 of 2008 (T.R. No. 469 of 2012) which has been affirmed in appeal. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the matter was referred to the mediation before the Secretary, DLSA, Dhanbad. The dispute has now been amicably settled between the petitioner and opposite party no. 2, who happened to be the wife of the petitioner, under which they have agreed to part their way and filed a suit for divorce by mutual consent. The maintenance amount was also settled in the said mediation. Considering the mediation report, the instant criminal revision is disposed of. The petitioner is acquitted of the charges in view of the compromise made between both sides. Pending I.A., if any, also stands disposed of.
