The petitioner has sought for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents not to interfere with activities of the petitioner - Association. 2. The petitioner has also sought for issuance of writ of mandamus directing respondent No.6 to register the petitioner - Association in terms of the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 without insisting for any NOC from the respondent - Police Authorities as well as respondent No.7. 3. It is noticed that the petitioner had made an application for registering it under provisions of the Karnataka Societies Registration Act. Insofar as insistence - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:20797 WP No. 14571 of 2025 which is stated to be oral as regards NOC from the Police and the Pattana Panchayath is concerned, learned Additional Government Advocate submits that such condition cannot be imposed at the time of registering the Society. 4. Insofar as the other relief of protection that is sought for including respondent - Authorities not to insist on obtaining licence to carryon lawful activity is a relief that could be considered only after the petitioner is registered under the provisions of the Karnataka Societies Registration Act. 5. In light of the stand of learned Additional Government Advocate, respondent No.6 to register the application of the petitioner if otherwise is in order without insisting on NOC from the Police or the Pattana Panchayath. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:20797 WP No. 14571 of 2025 6. Other reliefs are kept open to be raised at an appropriate point of time. Accordingly, the petition is disposed off. 7. Needless to state after registration, in order to start functioning whatever lawful requirements including NOC from requisite Authorities as is mandated under law in force requires to be obtained. 8.
