JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 17.12.2025 Heard Shri H. Buragohain, learned counsel for the petitioner, who is aggrieved by a direction by the Central Information Commission (CIC) directing for providing certain information under the Right to Information act. This Court has however noted that the Commission which is the decision making authority has not been made a party respondent. In a writ proceeding, since the decision making process is the subject matter, the authority making the impugned decision is required to be arrayed as a party respondent. At this stage, Shri Buragohain, the learned counsel for the petitioner prays for allowing him to withdraw this petition with a liberty to present it afresh in an appropriate manner. The petition is accordingly dismissed on withdrawal with liberty as prayed for. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
