1. Heard Mr. A. Khanikar, learned counsel appearing for the accused petitioner as well as Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Addl. P.P., Assam appearing for the State respondent.
2. This petition under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 has been filed by the accused-petitioner, namely, Amarjyoti Medhi, praying for grant of bail in connection with Panbazar PS Case No.259/2025 under Sections 103(1)/118(2)/3(5) of BNS.

3. Case diary as called for is received.
4. The case arose out of an FIR dated 08.08.2025 lodged by a police official with allegation about finding an injured person who was taken hospital and subsequently dead. It is also alleged that another injured person found in that area and he was also hospitalized. It is also alleged that in the early hours, these victims were assaulted by some shopkeepers of that area suspecting them of theft. Nine persons have been named as accused/suspects including the present petitioner.
5. The accused was arrested on 01.10.2025 and since then he is in detention.
6. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that all the co- accused has been released on bail except the present petitioner.
7. It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor though there is sufficient progress in investigation but the same is yet to attain completion.
8. In the given facts and circumstances, it is provided that the accused petitioner, named above, shall be released on bail of Rs.25,000/- with one suitable surety of like amount to the satisfaction of learned concerned court subject to the following conditions that the petitioner: (a) shall co-operate with the remaining trial. (b) Shall not hamper or tamper with the evidence.
9. Violation of any of the bail conditions shall entail cancellation of bail.
10. Accordingly, this bail application stands allowed and disposed of.
