02/26.09.2025 Heard Mr. Indrajit Sinha, learned counsel on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. Amit Kumar Das, learned Retainer Counsel, Enforcement Directorate.
This application has been preferred by the petitioner for extension of the period of surrender. Petitioner was granted anticipatory bail in A.B.A. No.10153 of 2023 on 28.08.2025.
Mr. Indrajit Sinha, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that according to the petitioner the period of 4 weeks time was granted vide order dated 28.08.2025 is yet to expire but this application has been preferred by way of abundant precaution to seek a further extension on account of the practice followed by the learned Special Judge whereby the date of
judgment is included in the period granted to surrender.
Mr. A.K. Das, learned Retainer Counsel, Enforcement Directorate has opposed the prayer made in this application.
On consideration of the averments made in the instant application, the order dated 28.08.2025 passed in A.B.A. No.10153 of 2023 is modified and the period of surrender is extended till 10th October, 2025.
This application stands disposed of with the aforesaid modification.
