Heard Ms. B. Nandita, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr. Y. Ashang, learned G.A. for State respondent No. 1 and Mr. Y. Nirmolchand, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. Dona Priya, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 2 & 3. [2]
The petitioners who are registered associations have been allotted 13 (thirteen) shops by the Imphal Municipal Corporation. However, till date, only 8 (eight) shops have been allotted and 5 (five) more yet to be allotted. [3]
In this respect, the petitioners submitted a representation dated 16.07.2025 to the Municipal Commissioner, Imphal Municipal Corporation for allotment of remaining 5 (five) shops and representation is still pending. [4]
Ms. B. Nandita, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that writ petition may be disposed of by directing respondent No. 3 to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners and dispose of the same by a speaking order within a stipulated time. [5]
Mr. Y. Ashang, learned G.A., submits that State respondent has nothing to do with and the matter has to be dealt with by the Imphal Municipal Corporation.

Mr. Y. Nirmolchand, learned senior counsel for the IMC, submits that reasonable time may be given to the Municipal Corporation for considering the representation submitted by the petitioners. [7]
In the circumstances, writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No. 3 to consider the representation dated 16.07.2025 submitted by the petitioners and pass a speaking order within a period of 2 (two) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [8]
Writ petition is disposed of in terms of the above. [9]
This Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case.
