Heard Mr. N. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P. Sarma, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate; Mr. G. Sharma, learned standing counsel for the F.T matters and NRC; Ms. A. Gayan, learned CGC and Ms. A. Verma, learned standing counsel for F.T and Mr. N. Kalita, learned counsel on behalf of Mr. A.I. Ali, learned counsel for ECI.
2. Mr. N. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the writ petition was filed on 09.01.2023 by some other counsel. Later on, a new set of counsel was engaged and the writ petition, which was lying defective was rectified and thereafter, it was reported on 12.12.2025.
3. If that be so, then the insertion of the name of the new set of counsel in the record appears to have been improperly done.
4. Accordingly, the learned counsel seeks to withdraw the writ petition

5. Prayer is allowed.
6. Accordingly, matter stands dismissed on withdrawal with liberty, as prayed for.
