By filing this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to release the arrear salary due to her for the period from 02.09.2013 to 28.02.2025. The petitioner was initially appointed as an Anganwadi Worker under the Diyung Valley ICDS Project vide order dated 23.05.1985 and was subsequently Page No.# 3/4 promoted to the post of Supervisor. It is contended that the respondent authorities has not paid the salary to the petitioner after being promoted to the post of Supervisor. Therefore, the petitioner claims for payment of arrear salary for the period from 02.09.2013 to 28.02.2025. Ms. M. Bhattacharjee, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, by placing a copy of the communication dated 11.12.2025, submits that the supplementary demand submitted to the Finance Department by the Hill Areas Department has been duly approved and the petitioner, who was working as Supervisor under the Office of the CDPO, Diyung Valley ICDS Project, Maibang, shall be paid the arrear salary for the period from 02.09.2013 to 28.02.2025. Having considered that the Finance Department has approved the supplementary demand for payment of arrear pay and allowances to the petitioner for the period from 02.09.2013 to 28.02.2025 and considering that the same would be released within December, 2025, as well as, as agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner, it is seen that the grievance of the petitioner is essentially redressed. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. Needless to observe that the respondent authorities shall ensure payment of the arrear pay and allowances to the petitioner, as reflected above in the communication dated 11.12.2025, within December, 2025. Writ petition stands disposed of. Page No.# 4/4 The copy of the communication dated 11.12.2025 is kept on record and marked as document “X”. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
