GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 19.09.2025 [1] Heard Mr. Serto T Kom, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. for the State respondent. [2] By the present writ petition, the petitioner prays for a limited prayer for directing respondent No. 2 i.e. The Collector (Land Acquisition)/Deputy Commissioner, Kakching District, Manipur to consider and dispose of the representation dated 16.04.2025 submitted by the petitioner by a speaking order. [3] In the representation submitted by the petitioner, the petitioner who is chief of Thamlapokpi/Thamnapokpi village near Pallel prays for releasing compensation from the land acquired under his patta land. [4] It is submitted that the representation is still pending with respondent No. 2 i.e. Collector (Land Acquisition)/Deputy Commissioner, Kakching District, Manipur. [5] It is prayed that writ petition may be disposed of by directing respondent No. 2 to consider and pass a speaking order to the pending representation within the stipulated time. [6] Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. for the State respondent, has no objection in passing an innocuous order. [7] Considering the submissions made at the bar and nature of relief prayed for in the writ petition, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No. 2 i.e. Collector (Land Acquisition)/Deputy Commissioner, Kakching District, Manipur to consider and pass a speaking order to the pending representation dated 16.04.2025 submitted by the petitioner herein within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [8] With this observation, writ petition is disposed of. [9] This Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case.
