A V S LAXMI The Court made the following: 2 HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE MAHESWARA RAO KUNCHEAM WRIT PETITION No.14665 OF 2005 ORDER: The present writ petition is filed seeking the following main prayer, which reads as under: “to issue a writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 1st respondent in appointing the 3rd respondent as Research Coordinator (RC) in Ocean Science and Technology Cell (OSTC), Andhra university by his Proceedings No. U5/DOD/OSTC/98, dated 07.06.2005 as illegal, arbitrary, capricious violative of principles of natural justice and without jurisdiction and contrary to Article 2.3 of Memorandum of Understanding arrived between Department of Ocean Development (D.O.D), Government of India AND Andhra University Visakhapatnam and consequently to set aside the said appointment and direct the 2nd respondent to appoint any one of the approved panel members mentioned in the Letter dated 28.01.2005 within the time stipulated or to pass any other order or orders………..” 2. Today also, there is no representation for the writ petitioner. The 1st respondent - Andhra University Standing Counsel, Mr.V.Sai Kumar, on instructions, submitted that the writ petitioner retired from service on 31.08.2022. He also produced the questionnaire/written instructions from Assistant Registrar(UGC), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and a copy of letter dated 05.12.2020, addressed by Ms.K.Umadevi, Associate Professor (writ petitioner herein), to the Registrar (Judicial), High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati. In the said letter, it is stated that the writ 3 petitioner is not interested to prosecute the matter and she wants to withdraw the Writ Petition No.14665 of 2005. 3. Thus, the above said documents, which are produced before the Court, are part and parcel of the record. Therefore, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
