Also heard Mr. K K Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 for grant of Page No.# 2/3 regular bail to the accused/petitioner, namely, Abul Ali, in connection with R. K Nagar P.S Case No. 68/2025 under Sections 189(2)/127(2)/296/118(2)/109/352/351(B)/351(4) of the BNS. As per the allegations contained in the FIR, the son of the informant used abusive language against an Islamic scholar and despite tendering of aplology, the accused persons compelled the present accused to cut the hair of the informant’s son and he was also humiliated by hanging a necklace of shoes and threatened him by showing a dao. The petitioner was arrested on 23.09.2025 and he has already spent 60 days in custody and the investigation of the case is also expected to have progressed. Having regard to the above, the prayer for bail is allowed. Accordingly, the accused petitioner, named above, in connection with the aforesaid case shall be released on bail of Rs. 20,000/- only, with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Elaka Magistrate. It is further directed that the accused petitioner shall appear before the learned Trial Court regularly and shall cooperate with the investigation. The bail petition stands disposed of.
