JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA O R D E R 01-06-2026 [1] Present Mr. D. Julius Riamei, learned counsel along with Ms. Semichon Vashum, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Th. Sukumar, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents. [2] By WP(C) No. 220 of 2025, the petitioner challenges the suspension order dated 13-10-2023 and the subsequent orders extending the suspension of the petitioner are also challenged in WP(C) No. 370 of 2025. During the course of hearing, Mr. D. Julius Riamei, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide order dated 21-05-2026 issued by the Joint Secretary (WR), Government of Manipur, the suspension order dated 13-10-2023 has been revoked without any prejudice to the Departmental Enquiry contemplated against him. It is submitted that the present writ petitions have become infructuous due to issuance of the subsequent order dated 21-05-2026 and the writ petitions may be closed as infructuous. [3] Mr. Th. Sukumar, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents, submits that this Court may pass appropriate order in view of the subsequent order. [4] This Court has perused the material on record and with the issuance of the order dated 21-05-2026 revoking the suspension of the petitioner, the cause of the writ petitions does not survive. Accordingly, the writ petitions are closed as infructuous. [5] MC(WP(C)) No. 348 of 2025 is also disposed of. [6] Any interim order merges with the final order.
