The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Palkot P.S. Case No.54 of 2024, for the offence registered under Section 17(b)/21(b)/22(b)/29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of Sri Dhruva Chandra Mishra, learned Sessions Judge, Gumla. On 30.10.2024, petitioner along with co-accused persons were apprehended by Palkot police and on search, 9.10 grams of brown sugar were recovered from their joint possession. It was submitted that the quantum of seized cannabis comes within the purview of intermediary quantity. It was further submitted that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and this fact has been mentioned at paragraph-7 of this Bail Application. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Dhruva Chandra Mishra, learned Sessions Judge, Gumla or his successor, in connection Palkot P.S.
