Joint memo has been filed under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and it is signed by the petitioner, respondent and their respective counsels. As per terms of the joint memo, the matter is settled between parties for Rs.9,16,542/- (rupees Nine Lakhs Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Forty Two only). 2. The petitioner has made payment of Rs.1,70,000/- (rupees One Lakh Seventy Thousand only) to the respondent and the respondent reports the receipt of Rs.1,70,000/- (rupees One Lakh Seventy Thousand only) from the petitioner. A sum of Rs.7,46,542/- (rupees Seven Lakhs Forty Six Thousand Five Hundred Forty two only) is in deposit before the trial Court and the petitioner

has no objections for the respondent to withdraw the said amount in deposit. 3. In view of settlement, the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is compounded. In view of compounding of the offence, this Criminal Revision Petition is disposed of as the offence is compounded. 4.
The respondent is permitted to withdraw the amount of Rs.7,46,542/- (rupees Seven Lakhs Forty Six Thousand Five Hundred Forty two only) deposited by the petitioner before the trial Court. 5. The respondent shall furnish his bank accounts details to the trial Court so as to enable to transfer the amount directly to his account.
