S S ROY(C.G.C) BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE KAUSHIK GOSWAMI ORDER 29.10.2025 Heard Mr. H. R. Ahmed, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Ms. J. Gayan, learned Central Government Counsel appearing for the respondents. 2. By way of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners are canvassing the non-declaration of their results in response to the advertisement dated 27.10.2022 for the recruitment of Constable (GD) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in the Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau under the Examination, 2022, for which they had applied and participated in the selection process. The petitioner had successfully completed the computer based examination, physical standard test and physical efficiency test and medical examination. The results were Page No.# 5/6 declared by the Commission on 20.08.2023 but the results of the petitioners were kept withheld due to mismatch of Biometric Data of the writ petitioners. The petitioners are aggrieved that their cases have not been examined and results have not been declared while other similarly situated persons, who were declared selected in the results published on 20.08.2023, have already been appointed. 3. Today, when the matter was called up, the learned Central Government Counsel, on instructions, has submitted that the results of the writ petitioner Nos.2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10 were verified and after verification they have been appointed. As regards the writ petitioner No.1, she submitted that his result was earlier kept withheld and after verification has been cleared. Further, as regards the writ petitioner No.4, she submitted that after verification the records have been declared and the officer of appointment in under process by the Headquarter. She further submits that as regards the writ petitioner Nos.7 and 9, the verification is under process and the same is likely to be completed at the earliest. 4. Upon hearing the learned counsel for the parties and considering the fact that the process for revision has been undertaken against some of the petitioners, and the writ petitioner Nos.2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10 have already been appointed, this Court is of the view that the writ petition can be closed with a direction to the respondent authorities to Page No.# 6/6 expeditiously complete the process of verification and thereafter, if it is found that the remaining writ petitioners were wrongly denied selection, appropriate orders shall be passed by the respondent authority with respect to their selection and appointment. The concerned respondents are accordingly directed to complete their verification and pass necessary order(s) after necessary rectification or revision, in respect of the writ petitioner nos.1, 4, 7 and 9 and if they are found to be eligible for appointment in terms of the selection process, appointment orders in respect thereof be issued at the earliest. 5. Ordered accordingly. 6. Let this exercise be completed within a period of 90 (ninety) days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 7. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
