BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE N. UNNI KRISHNAN NAIR ORDER Date : 11-12-2025 Heard Ms. L. Thakur, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. B. Sarma, learned CGC appearing for the respondents. The husband of the petitioner while serving as a Pointsman at Wadrengdisa Railway Station, Maibong had gone missing from his place of duty on 28-09-1999. The petitioner, herein, had thereafter submitted a missing information before the concerned police station and a final verification report has also been submitted by the police on 11- 02-2025 certifying that the enquiry made in the matter had not resulted in tracing out of the husband’s whereabouts. The petitioner’s husband being an employee of the Railways, any issue having relation to his service including prayer for release of family pension, the petitioner is required to approach the learned Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench as the court of first instance. In view of the above position, Ms. Thakur on instruction submits that she be permitted to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to approach the learned Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench by filing appropriate application. Prayer accepted. Writ petition stands dismissed on withdrawal with liberty as prayed for.
