The petitioner purchased an extent of Ac. 1-72 cents from each vendor (total extent of Ac.6-88 cents) under three sale deeds, dated 02.04.2025. When the sale deeds presented for registration, respondent No.6 had not processed the documents. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that respondent No.6, having received the documents, did not process and register the documents. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, on instructions, would submit that respondent No.6 will process the documents as per the law. Whenever a document is presented for registration, the registering authority shall receive and process the document subject to fulfillment of the provisions of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 and the Registration Act, 1908, unless a restraint order is passed by any competent Court or the property is included in the list of prohibited properties under Section 22A of the Registration Act.
