Laskar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the accused- applicants. Also heard Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, representing the State respondent. This is an application filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023, praying for granting bail to the accused-applicants in connection with Doboka P.S. Case No. 180/2025, registered under Sections 299/196 of the BNS, 2023, read with Sections 5(1)/7/13 of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021. An FIR was lodged on 15.09.2025, by one S.I. Anupam Borah before the Doboka Police Station, alleging that on receipt of specific information, at about 8.30 AM, about involvement of the alleged accused of running a slaughtering house at Dihaljaroni village and illegally selling and transporting beef meat, the police went to the said place and recovered 25 kgs of suspected beef meat. It was alleged that the aforesaid place falls within a radius of 5 KM from Burigaon Kali Mandir and as per law, slaughtering is prohibited within the range of 5 KM from any religious institutions as per the provision of Assam Cattle Preservation Act. The police seized the aforementioned quantity of beef meat and registered Doboka P.S. Case No. 180/2025 under the aforesaid sections. The present accused-applicants has approached this court by filing anticipatory bail application being AB No. 2616/2025, which was, after consideration, rejected by this Court, vide order dated 18.11.2025. It is seen that there is no new ground made out in the instant application and therefore, the instant anticipatory bail application is rejected and dismissed. Page No.# 3/3 JUDGE Comparing Assistant
