By the impugned order dated 29.10.2020 passed by the Assistant General Manager, Human Resources Department, Canara Bank, Circle Office, Lucknow, the petitioner's claim for appointment on compassionate ground has been declined. The impugned order does not disclose any reasons for invalidating the claim of the petitioner. The impugned order is vitiated for non application of mind is liable to be set aside and is set aside. The matter is remitted to the Bank with the following directions: i) The Managing Director, Canara Bank shall forward the same to the competent authority who shall decide the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground by a reasoned order. ii) The Managing Director, Canara Bank shall ensure that the exercise shall be completed within two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
