ORAL ORDER (PER: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIJAYKUMAR A. PATIL)
This contempt petition is filed alleging the wilful disobedience of the order of the learned Single Judge dated 23.03.2022 passed in WP.No.11619/2017 (KLR-LG). The operative portion of the order of the learned Single Judge reads as under:
"Respondents No.4 and 3 shall consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order of this Court and take appropriate decision. Accordingly, writ petition stands
disposed of."
2. After entering their appearance, the respondents have filed affidavit of one Smt.Rashmi U, Tahsildar, Bangarpete Taluk. The said affidavit indicates that the representation of the petitioner has been duly considered and the same was rejected vide official memorandum dated 10.01.2024 which is produced at Annexure-R3 along with the affidavit.

3. Learned Single Judge has
directed the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation within four months. However, the representation has been considered belatedly and for the same the concerned Tahsildar has sought unconditional apology and explained the reasons for delay. Accepting the said apology and reasons for delay, the contempt proceedings are closed.
4. In view of the said consideration, the present contempt proceedings are dropped granting liberty to the complainant to assail the official memorandum dated 10.01.2024 in accordance with law.
