The petitioner seeks direction to the respondents to release the total amount of Rs.81,19,707/- (Rupees eighty one lacs nineteen thousand seven hundred and seven only) with interest which is due to the petitioner. The petitioner is Prop. of M/s Kohli Sales Corporation and was allotted work for supply of CPVC and UPVC pipes and fittings for construction of building in JKPCC Ltd. of Make Finolex. 02. The short grievance of the petitioner is that he has executed the aforesaid work to the entire satisfaction of the respondents and invoices for the work were raised for Rs. 81,19,707/- and same has been acknowledge and received by the respondents but the payment is still pending. The petitioner has submitted representation to respondents for release of the admitted payment due to the petitioner and the same is pending in the office of respondents and no payment has been made till date. 2 03. Mr. Bhat, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if the writ petition is disposed of at this stage itself by directing the respondents to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner for release of admitted payment/liability withheld by the respondents without any valid reason, within some time frame. 04. Keeping in view the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is disposed of at its threshold by directing the respondents to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner for release of admitted payment/liability withheld by the respondents provided there is no other legal impediment in it, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date a copy of this order is made available to the respondents by the petitioner.
