HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU Arb P No. 22/2025 PBA Infrastructure Ltd. ..... appellant (s) Through :- Mr. R.K.Gupta Sr. Advocate with Mr. Udhay Bhasker Advocate V/s J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency .....Respondent(s) Through :- Ms Monika Kohli Sr. AAG Coram: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR, JUDGE ORDER Instant petition is filed under Section 29-A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of time to enable the Arbitrator to conclude the arbitration proceedings and pass an award in respect of the disputes between the parties arising out of the contract for widening and strengthening of the Udhampur-Ramnagar and Chenani-Sudhmahadev- Mantalai road. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material on record, I am of the considered opinion that the ends of justice would be met if the time to conclude the arbitration proceedings is extended by four months from today. Ordered accordingly. It is, however, made clear that there shall be no enhancement of the fee by the Arbitrator. This is so because the delay in concluding the proceedings is, to a greater extent, attributable to the Arbitrator Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of. (SANJEEV KUMAR) JUDGE Jammu 04.04.2025. Sanjeev Sr. No. 3
