This application filed under section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraskha Sanhita, 2023, the accused petitioner namely, Mahibul Hussain, has prayed for bail in connection with Sorbhog P.S. Case No. 96/2025 under Section 331(4)/305(a)/3(5) of BNS, 2023. 3. The accused was arrested in this case on 14.10.2025. 4. The allegation in the FIR is that during the absence of the informant in the evening/night hours, miscreants broke into his house and committed theft of 17.5 tolas of gold and cash of Rs.50,000/-. 5. The case diary has been received. 6. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that besides investigation materials lending support to the allegation about involvement of the present petitioner, there are also three more cases pending against him pertaining to similar illegal activities. The stolen articles are stated to be not yet recovered. The investigation is not yet completed. 7. In the given facts and circumstances, despite the length of under trial detention – this bail petition of the present accused is rejected at this stage. 8.
