1. Heard Mr. N. Uddin, learned counsel appearing for the accused petitioner as well as Mr. R. J. Baruah, learned Addl. P.P., Assam appearing for the State respondent.
2. This petition under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 has been filed by the accused-petitioner, namely, Anup Kr. Das, praying for grant of bail in connection
Page No.# 2/2 with Tarabari P.S. Case No.56/2025 under Sections 308(2) /319(2) /351(2) of BNS.
3. The FIR dated 25.10.2025 was lodged with the allegation that the owner of mobile number 94354-33873 asked for Rs.1,00,000/- from his representing himself to be from the CM vigilance cell.
4. This is a subsequent bail application as the earlier bail petition was rejected by this Court on 01.12.2025 in BA No. 3755/2025 after perusing the case diary and noticing the materials revealed by the investigation.
5. Up-to-date case diary received and learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the investigation has lend support to the allegation. The natures of the alleged offences are in the realm of dishonesty, corruption and impersonation. Investigation is not yet completed.
6. I am unable to find sufficient new grounds to take a different view in favour of the accused in the subsequent petition- which accordingly stands rejected.
7. Accordingly, this bail application stands disposed of.
8. Return the case diary.
