Islam, learned counsel for the applicant. The applicant by way of instituting the present Interlocutory Application has prayed for impleading the present incumbent in the post of Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, P&RD Department, as respondent in the connected contempt petition being Contempt Case No.286/2024. This Court has perused the contentions raised by the applicant in the contempt petition and finds that the official sought to be impleaded in the connected contempt petition is having the responsibility of complying with the directions passed by this Court vide the Judgment and Order dated 05.08.2022 in WP(C).No.4397/2022. Further this Court also notices that the said Judgment and Order was brought to the notice of the official sought to be impleaded in the present proceeding. Mr. A. K. Ghosh, learned counsel, appearing for the opposite party nos.1, 2 and 3, submits that he had no objection in the prayer of the applicant for impleadment being allowed. In view of the above, the applicant is permitted to implead “Dr. B. Kalyan Chakravarthy, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, P&RD Department”, as respondent no.5 in the connected contempt petition.
