The original amount awarded as compensation by the Tribunal was Rs. 13,33,433/- with 9% interest per annum from the date of filing the claim petition. During the settlement, the parties agreed upon a total settlement amount of Rs. 12,00,000/-. Accordingly, the insurer shall deposit the settled amount of Rs. 12,00,000/- before the MACT, Golaghat, within a period of 45 days from today and the same shall be released to the claimant on proper identification. In case of a delay of more than 45 days from today in depositing the settle amount, the same shall carry statutory interest.
