GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaringthe inaction of the Respondent No.3 and 4 in not providing the Police Protection to the Petitioner and save his life from the Respondent Nos.6 to 18, which is illegal, arbitrary and also violation of Article 19, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India and also against the principal of the Natural Justice and consequently (i). To direct the Respondent Nos.3 and 4 to provide Police Protection to the Petitioner and his Family Members, (ii). To Direct the Respondent Nos.3 and 4 to complete the Investigation, which is pending before them on Complaint made by the Petitioner against the Unofficial Respondents 6 to 18.” 3 2. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, by way of counter, would submit that, Petitioner ventured to encroach hill area to an extent of Ac.50.00 cents on the guise of plantation and the Revenue Officials and the political leaders objected the same and got the Petitioner vacated the site. In that view, the Petitioner filed the present petition seeking police protection. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that, if Police protection is given to the Petitioner, he will continue his illegal activities. 3. None appeared for the Petitioner. 4. In that view, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
