The present I.A. has been filed praying for impleading (i) Union of India represented by the Commissioner, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources Rural Development and Ganga Rejuvenation and (ii) the Brahmaputra Board, Assam represented by its Chairman, Guwahati as party respondent Nos. 5 and 6 in the connected writ petition. This Court has perused the contentions raised in the present proceeding and is of the prima facie view that the respondents sought to be impleaded are also necessary and proper party in the proceeding of W.P.(C) No. 7446/2023. Page No.# 3/3 Ms. A. Gayan, learned CGC does not objected to such impleadment of the said respondents. In view of the above (i) Union of India represented by the Commissioner, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources Rural Development and Ganga Rejuvenation and (ii) the Brahmaputra Board, Assam represented by its Chairman, Guwahati are hereby impleaded as respondent Nos. 5 and 6 in the connected W.P.(C) No. 7446/2023.
