Jyotsna Rewal Dua , J Following order was passed in the matter on 31.12.2025: - “Learned counsel for respondent No.5 has placed on record office instructions dated 30.12.2025, which suggests that Pension Payment Order (PPO) had been sanctioned by the aforesaid office in favour of the petitioner on 11.12.2024, however, the PPO was returned by the District Treasury Officer, Mandi purportedly on the ground that petitioner had been re-engaged in service. Why the concerned District Treasury Officer returned the PPO to the office of respondent No.5 when the concerned Administrative Department had processed and forwarded the case 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 of the petitioner, being eligible for grant of pension, is not forthcoming from respondents No.1 to 4. Learned counsel for respondent No.5 submits that PPO has now again been forwarded to the concerned District Treasury Officer vide office letter dated 23.12.2025 for disbursement of pension. Let learned Assistant Advocate General to have positive instructions about releasing the due and admissible pension to the petitioner by the next date, failing which appropriate order shall be passed in the matter. List on 07.01.2026.” 2. Pursuant to above, learned Assistant Advocate General has placed on record office instructions dated 05.01.2026 from the office of Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division Karsog, District Mandi, H.P. conveying that arrears of pension amounting to Rs.5,23,602/- for the period 01.04.2023 to 31.12.2025 stands paid to the petitioner; Further that the pension for the month of January, 2026 has been prepared and would be disbursed to the petitioner on 01.02.2026; That recurring pension will be released to the petitioner regularly thereafter. 3. In view of office instructions and the compendium of documents enclosed therewith, the present petition to stand disposed of as the grievance of the petitioner raised in this writ petition now stands redressed.
