Heard Sri D. Kasim Saheb, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Sri B.V. Satyanarayana, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, appeared for respondents 1 to 4. 2.
The petitioner made an application through Mee-seva vide grievance No.ATP202502102149 dated 10.02.2025 (Ex.P1) to update her name in the revenue settlement register in respect of Ac.20.24 cents in Sy.No.48 (classified as Government dotted land) of Bukkacherla Village, Raptadu Mandal, Ananthapur District of Andhra Pradesh Dotted Lands (Updation in Re-settlement Register) Act, 2017 and the Rules made there under. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the aforementioned property is the ancestral property, and the name of the petitioner is updated in the Record of Rights. When the petitioner intends to partition the property, the Sub-Registrar insisted that the petitioner to get NOC. Hence, the petitioner made Ex.P1. 4. Sri B.V. Satyanarayana, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, on instructions, while not disputing regarding Ex.P1, would submit that the Tahsildar upon verification of the claimant and the relevant documents, submitted proposals vide Rc.No.337/2025, dated 09.06.2025 to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ananthapuramu and requested to submit the same to the Collector & District Magistrate, Ananthapuramu to place the same before the District Level Committee for an appropriate decision. He would also submit that the district-level committee is yet to be convened. 5. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, without touching the merits of the matter, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the learned counsel, directing respondent No.2 to pass appropriate orders duly considering the report submitted by the Tahsildar dated 09.06.2025, vis-à-vis the claim made by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within three (03) months.
