GP FOR WOMEN DEV CHILD WELFARE(AP) The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer: “…..to issue a Writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the proceedings No.2/A/2017 dated 12-12-2017 issued by the 4th respondent as highly illegal, unconstitutional, malafide and consequently set aside the same and direct the Respondents to appoint the petitioner for the post of the Anganwadi Worker/ helper in the interest of Justice and pass such other order or orders…...” 2 2. None represented for the petitioner. The proceedings sheet dated 24.03.2025 also shows there was no representation. Today, the matter is listed under the caption “for orders”. Despite the same, none represented for the petitioner. 3. Sri V.Rama Krishna, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Woman Development and Child Welfare would submit that the present petition is filed challenging the appointment of respondent No.5 as Anganwadi worker. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that as per the parameters fixed vide G.O.Ms.No.18 Department for Women, Children, (Prog) Disabled and Senior Citizens, dated 15.05.2015, irrespective of the marks obtained in SSC, one has to get 50 marks if X class passed. 20 marks is allotted for oral interview and in the oral interview, the petitioner at serial No.3 got 16 marks. Whereas, respondent No.5 at serial No.11, secured 18 marks. To that effect, because the respondent No.5 is now meritorious than the petitioner as she secured 68 marks out of 100, she was selected as Anganwadi worker by the Committee. This Committee consists the District Collector as a Chair-person, RDO, DM & HO, CDPO, PD, DW and CDA. This Committee has approved the candidature of respondent No.5. 4. Viewed from any angle, this Court does not find any merit in the case. 3 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
