The petitioner has impugned the order dated 28th of December 2022 issued by respondent No. 3 whereby respondent No. 4 has been appointed as a Lambardar. Simultaneously, a prayer has also been made for directing the official respondent to commence the process of election for the post of Lambardar of Village Mari in accordance with Rule 14 of the Jammu and Kashmir Lambardari Rules 1980. 3. Objections have been filed by the official respondents. However, Mr. Sandeep Singh, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 4 has submitted that he does not want to file objections on behalf of respondent No. 4 and further that the official respondents be directed to hold elections for the post of Lambardar of village Mari in accordance with the rules (supra). 4. Ms. Kohli, learned Sr. AAG, submits that the appropriate orders may be passed. 5. In view of the fact that the respondent No. 4 was appointed as Lambardar temporarily and the temporary appointment cannot continue beyond six months, as such, the present petition is disposed of by directing the official respondents to hold the election for the post of Lambardar for Village Mari within the period of three months from the date of receipt of this order. 6.
