In response to our order dated January 27, 2026, learned Senior counsel for the respondents submits that the differential amount of 6% GST has been duly calculated and verified in respect of the works awarded prior to 18.07.2022 but paid thereafter. He submits that the total amount works out to ₹ 28.744 lakhs and the demand for funds have already been raised with the concerned departments for release of the requisite amount towards the reimbursement of the differential GST. And, the said amount shall be released to the petitioner maximum within a period of two months from today. 02. That being so, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the contempt proceedings shall be dropped in terms of the statement made by learned Senior counsel for the respondents. However, liberty be granted to the petitioner to move an appropriate application in the present petition itself, in the event, the respondents failed to release the amount indicated above. 03. In the wake of above and in terms of the statements made by learned counsel for the parties, the contempt proceedings are dropped and the petition is disposed of with liberty prayed for.
