The instant writ application has been preferred by the petitioners praying for a direction upon the respondent- authorities to consider the case of the petitioners for regularization to the post of Statistical Assistant as they are working against the sanctioned and vacant post since 2008. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since 2025:JHHC:11546 these petitioners are working since 2008, they are entitled to be regularized in view of the judgment rendered in the case of Secretary, State of Karnataka and Others Versus UmaDevi and others1. 4. Learned counsel for the respondent relying upon its counter-affidavit submits that the case of these petitioners for regularization is under active consideration. He further draws attention of this Court towards Annexure-E to the counter-affidavit which is the list sent by the District Social Welfare Officer, Bokaro to the Additional Secretary, Mahila Bal Vikash and Social Welfare Department; wherein the names of these petitioners are appearing at page 40 and 41 of the counter-affidavit. Accordingly, the instant writ application may be disposed of. 5. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and after going through the records of the case it appears that counter-affidavit has been filed in this case; wherein at para 13 and 14 it has been specifically stated that the District Social Welfare Officer, Bokaro issued letter No. 17 dated 04.01.2021 for regularization of causal/contractual working employee of Social Welfare Department. For brevity para 13 and 14 of the counter-affidavit 1 (2006)4 SCC 1 2025:JHHC:11546 are extracted hereinbelow: - “13. That it is humbly stated and submitted that in the light of notification no. 1348 dated 13.02.2015 and notification no. 4871 dated 20.06.2019 published by Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha of Jharkhand Government. A letter was issued on 08.08.2019 to all Deputy Commissioner for regularization of causal working employee of Bal Vikash and Social Welfare Department. 14. That it is humbly stated and submitted that on the basis of the above letter the District Social Welfare Officer, Bokaro issued a letter no.17 dated 04.01.2021 for regularization of casual/contractual working employee of Social Welfare Department.” 6. In view of the specific averments made in the Counter Affidavit, the instant writ application is, hereby, disposed of by directing the concerned respondents to expedite the matter of regularization of these petitioners, in the light of Notification No. 1348 dated 13.02.2015 and also Notification No. 4871 dated 20.06.2019, inasmuch as, the names of these petitioners are appearing in the list attached with the letter No. 17 dated 04.01.2021 sent by District Social Welfare Officer, Bokaro to the Additional Secretary, Mahila Bal Vikash and Social Welfare Department for regularization of causal/contractual working employee of Social Welfare Department, as early as possible, preferably within a period of four months, if the Petitioners are not appointed till date. 7.
