This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "I. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to initiate enquiry against the revenue authorities and respondent no.5 for deleting the order of this Hon'ble Court dated 25.07.2011 passed in Writ (B) No.40763 of 2011 from the revenue record. II. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the application of the petitioner dated 20.06.2024 within stipulated period by a reasoned and speaking order." 2. The first prayer made in the writ petition cannot be granted. 3. However, as the application dated 20.06.2024 is pending consideration before respondent No.2, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, or calling for counter affidavit or issuing notice to private respondents and the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, with a direction upon respondent No.2 to decide the said application dated 20.06.2024, in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the matter on merits.
