Learned counsel appearing for petitioner further submits that the direction for freezing of accounts was on the basis of the criminal proceedings pending in Crime No.2/2024. 3. It is further submitted that in light of setting aside of the proceedings before the Criminal Court, by virtue of the order passed in W.P.No.17814/2024 dated 03.12.2024, the very foundation for debit freeze is no longer in operation. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:24557 WP No. 14888 of 2025 4. Perused the Annexure-B, which is the communication to the petitioner which refers to instructions to freeze the bank account having been given by the Police Inspector-3, Karnataka Lokayukta, Ramanagara. 5. In light of the order passed in W.P.No.17814/2024 dated 03.12.2024 quashing the proceedings in Crime No.2/2024 pursuant to which it is stated that there was debit freeze of his accounts held by him in State Bank of India, Malleswaram Branch, Sampige Road, bearing Account No.39315080685 and Canara Bank, Town Hall Branch Account bearing No.041310115571, respondents are directed to de-freeze the accounts forthwith and the petitioner would be at liberty to utilize the funds from the said bank accounts. 6.
