By way of filing the instant writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction against the respondents to treat her candidature in EWS Female Divorcee Category and after treating her to be meritorious candidate in the aforesaid category, appointment may be given to her. 2. It is stated that vide advertisement dated 16.01.2023, applications were invited from eligible candidates for recruitment [2025:RJ-JP:33601] (2 of 3) [CW-12161/2024] on the post of Informatics Assistant. As many as 2,415 vacancies were advertised out of which 169 vacancies were reserved for EWS Female Divorcee Category. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the petitioner was possessing certificate of EWS Category entitling her for seeking reservation under the category, yet on account of inadvertent mistake, she could not submit the same at the time of filing her application form. However, after the result, when she applied EWS for correction of Category she was not allowed. In case, her candidature is considered under EWS Female Divorcee Category then she would have been selected as the last candidate selected under the respective EWS Female Divorcee Category was possessing lesser marks than the petitioner. 3. I have considered the submissions and perused the record. 4. Application form was submitted by the petitioner on 22.05.2003. As per, advertisement dated 16.01.2023, there was also a procedure for making necessary corrections in the application form in case, at the time of submitting application form, some error has been committed by the candidate. However, after declaration of the result, on 19.07.2024, application for correction alleged to have been filed by the petitioner on the basis of one certificate dated 10.02.2022. 5. Even a bare perusal of the certificate would also reveal that it was valid only for the financial year 2020-21. Under the aforesaid circumstances, even on the basis of certificate dated 10.02.2022, the petitioner was not eligible for making application under EWS Female Divorcee Category. [2025:RJ-JP:33601] (3 of 3) [CW-12161/2024] 6. In view of above, no ground to interfere in the matter under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is made out.
