BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 13.12.2025 This is an appeal filed by the claimants-appellant against the Award dated 22.11.2024 passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Tinsukia (for short MACT, Tinsukia) in MAC Case No. 09/2023. Ms. Hena Haflongbar, Assistant Manager of The New India Insurance
Page No.# 3/3 Assurance Company Ltd. (Insurance Company) and the claimants-1. Shri Ramu Singh, 2. Smti. Lilabati Singh and 3. Ms. Rinki Kumari along with their learned counsel, Shri A Baruah are present today i.e., 13.12.2025 in the National Lok Adalat. It is submitted that the earlier Award has already been deposited and withdrawn. The parties present jointly submit that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and an additional lump sum amount Rs. 3,80,000/- (Rupees Three lakhs eighty thousand) only as full and final settlement has been agreed upon.
In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the aforesaid amount of Rs. 3,80,000/- (Rupees Three lakhs eighty thousand) only being the full and final payment before the MACT, Tinsukia within a period of 45 days from today. As request by the claimant nos. 1 and 3, the aforesaid amount be released in favour of the claimant no. 2- Smti. Lilabati Singh on being properly identified by her learned counsel. The MAC appeal and the IA accordingly stand disposed of. Send back the TCRs, if any. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
