Mr. Imran Ali, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Ganesh Kandpal, learned Deputy Advocate General for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Petitioner retired from Cane Department on 30.09.2011. According to him certain amount is being deducted from his pension. 4. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that petitioner has commuted his pension, therefore, reduced amount is being paid to him and there is no deduction of any other amount from his pension. 5. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- (i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to not deduct excess loan amount from petitioner pension. (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing/commanding the respondents to repay the excess amount wrongfully deducted from petitioner’s pension. 6. Since petitioner has sought writ of mandamus, therefore, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to Cane Commissioner. If petitioner makes 2025:UHC:8632 representation within two weeks from today, Cane Commissioner shall look into the matter, and take decision, as per law, within eight weeks thereafter.
